In Saturday's non-league match, the host Calamus-Wheatland Warriors softball team scored a nice 8-0 win over the Alburnett Pirates.

The Warriors (9-8) will now prepare for their match against Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA). The Wildcats come into the non-league match with a 11-4 record. In their last match, Maquoketa Valley was routed by Wilton (Wilton, IA), 5-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Pirates confront the North Linn Lynx (Troy Mills, IA) in a Tri-Rivers - West match, on Monday, June 16. Alburnett will attempt to better on its 14-6 season record. The Lynx come into the match with a 11-6 record after their 6-0 non-league loss to Benton (Van Horne, IA).
