Iowa High School Softball - South Hamilton bested by Grundy Center

The Grundy Center Spartans triumphed over the visiting South Hamilton Hawks softball squad by a count of 12-2 in Saturday's non-league challenge.
Next, the Spartans meet the East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - West challenge, on Monday, June 16. Grundy Center will attempt to upgrade on its 11-5 season record. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a 11-4 record after their 11-3 non-league win over Twin Cedars (Bussey, IA).
The Hawks (2-12) will now prepare for their challenge against Saydel (Des Moines, IA). The Eagles enter the Heart of Iowa challenge with a 1-10 record. In their last challenge, Saydel was routed by Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA), 10-0, in a league challenge.
