In Saturday's league match, the visiting Wapsie Valley Warriors softball team scored a tight 11-9 win over the Jesup J-Hawks.
The Warriors (17-2) will now prepare for their match against Sumner-Fredericksburg (Sumner, IA). The Cougars come into the North Iowa Cedar - East match with a 9-6 record. In their last match, Sumner-Fredericksburg by Gilbert (Gilbert, IA), 10-3, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the J-Hawks confront the Union Knights (La Porte City, IA) in a North Iowa Cedar - East match, on Monday, June 16. Jesup will attempt to better on its 11-5 season record. The Knights come into the match with a 1-11 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Aplington-Parkersburg (Parkersburg, IA).
