The West Branch Bears (West Branch, IA) softball routed the host Clinton River Kings (Clinton, IA), 12-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Bears (5-13) will now prepare for their bout against Regina (Iowa City, IA). The Regals go into the River Valley - South bout with a 10-5 record. In their last bout, Regina was routed by Ames (Ames, IA), 4-3, in a non-league bout.
The River Kings now possess a 2-19 record. They play next when they travel to North Scott for a Mississippi Athletic bout on Monday, June 17. Clinton will confront a Lancers squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA). The Lancers record now stands at 12-2.
