The New Hampton Chickasaws routed the visiting Nashua-Plainfield Huskies softball squad by a final score of 13-3 in Saturday's non-league battle.
The Chickasaws (8-5) will now prepare for their battle against Denver (Denver, IA). The Cyclones go into the non-league battle with a 6-10 record. In their last battle, Denver was routed by Oelwein (Oelwein, IA), 8-2, in a non-league battle.
The Huskies now possess a 3-16 record. They play next when they host Central Springs for a Top of Iowa-East bout on Monday, June 17. Nashua-Plainfield will confront a Panthers squad coming off a 21-4 non-league loss to Bishop Heelan Catholic (Sioux City, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 10-9.
