In Monday's league test, the Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the host Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), by a margin of 9-1.

The Indians now sport a 10-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to West Bend-Mallard for a Twin Lakes battle on Tuesday, June 17. Pocahontas will confront a Wolverines team coming off a 10-1 league loss to Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA). The Wolverines record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Southeast Valley moves to 9-5 on the season. The Jaguars travel to Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA) to confront the Eagles in a non-league battle on Tuesday, June 17. The Eagles come into the battle with a record of 5-3.
