The Mustangs now hold a 11-10 record. They take the field next when they host Western Dubuque for a non-league bout on Wednesday, June 19. Mt. Vernon will face a Bobcats team coming off a 17-2 non-league win over Davenport West (Davenport, IA). The Bobcats record now stands at 12-3.

Next, the Vikings face the Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, June 20. Vinton-Shellsburg will attempt to advance on its 5-15 season record. The Mustangs enter the bout with a 7-15 record after their 9-4 non-league loss to Grinnell (Grinnell, IA).
