Lynnville-Sully Hawks (Sully, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host B-G-M Bears (Brooklyn, IA), 6-5 in a league challenge.

The Hawks now own a 8-11 record. They take the field next when they host Prairie City-Monroe for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 18. Lynnville-Sully will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 2-0 league win over Perry (Perry, IA). The Mustangs record now stands at 14-2.

With the loss, B-G-M falls to 11-7 on the campaign. The Bears travel to Colfax-Mingo (Colfax, IA) to battle the Tigerhawks in a South Iowa Cedar challenge on Wednesday, June 19. The Tigerhawks enter the challenge with a record of 2-14. Colfax-Mingo lost 12-2 in their recent league challenge against Montezuma (Montezuma, IA)
