St. Albert Falcons (Council Bluffs, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Denison-Schleswig Monarchs (Denison, IA), 7-6 in a league challenge.

The Falcons now own a 6-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Underwood for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 19. St. Albert will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 9-3 non-league loss to Riverside (Oakland, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 7-14.

With the loss, Denison-Schleswig falls to 7-13 on the campaign. The Monarchs host Lewis Central (Council Bluffs, IA) to battle the Titans in a Hawkeye 10 challenge on Thursday, June 20. The Titans enter the challenge with a record of 9-13. Lewis Central won 10-6 in their recent league challenge against Harlan (Harlan, IA)
