Iowa High School Baseball - Woodward-Granger edges Interstate 35

The Woodward-Granger Hawks baseball team scored 8 runs and held the visiting Interstate 35 Roadrunners to 5 in the Hawks league win on Thursday.
The Hawks now own a 8-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Madrid for a West Central test on Friday, June 20. Woodward-Granger will play a Tigers team coming off a 8-5 non-league win over Perry (Perry, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 5-11.
With the defeat, Interstate 35 drops to 13-3 on the year. The Roadrunners host Van Meter (Van Meter, IA) to play the Bulldogs in a West Central test on Monday, June 23. The Bulldogs go into the test with a record of 15-5. Van Meter won 4-0 in their recent league match against Ogden (Ogden, IA)
