The Montezuma Braves triumphed over the visiting Colfax-Mingo Tigerhawks softball squad by a count of 10-0 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Braves play the Keota Eagles (Keota, IA) in a South Iowa Cedar challenge, on Friday, June 20. Montezuma will attempt to upgrade on its 4-6 season record. The Eagles enter the challenge with a 6-5 record after their 2-0 league win over H-L-V (Victor, IA).

The Tigerhawks (3-10) will now prepare for their challenge against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA). The Hawks enter the South Iowa Cedar challenge with a 6-10 record. In their last challenge, Lynnville-Sully was routed by North Mahaska (New Sharon, IA), 14-6, in a league challenge.
