In Monday's non-league game, the visiting Bangor Christian Patriots baseball team scored a close 3-2 victory over the Sumner Tigers.
The Patriots (14-1) will now prepare for their game against Greenville (Greenville, ME). The Lakers enter the non-league game with a 2-13 record. In their last game, Greenville was tipped by Penobscot Valley (Howland, ME), 18-2, in a non-league game.
Next, the Tigers face the Machias Bulldogs (Machias, ME) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, June 4. Sumner will attempt to improve on its 3-10 season record. The Bulldogs enter the game with a 8-5 record after their 11-0 league win over Jonesport-Beals (Jonesport, ME).
