The Belle Plaine Plainsmen baseball team scored 14 runs and held the visiting English Valleys Bears to 0 in the Plainsmen league win on Monday.

The Plainsmen now own a 1-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to Iowa Valley for a South Iowa Cedar test on Tuesday, June 3. Belle Plaine will clash with a Tigers team coming off a 13-3 league loss to Sigourney (Sigourney, IA). The Tigers record now stands at 1-2.

With the defeat, English Valleys drops to 0-3 on the year. The Bears travel to B-G-M (Brooklyn, IA) to clash with the Bears in a South Iowa Cedar test on Tuesday, June 3. The Bears go into the test with a record of 3-1. B-G-M won 12-3 in their recent league match against Iowa Valley (Marengo, IA)
