Iowa High School Baseball - Mt. Vernon defeats Grinnell

In Monday's non-league game, the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs baseball team scored a nice 8-0 win over the Grinnell Tigers.

The Mustangs (6-2) will now prepare for their game against Cascade (Cascade, IA). The Cougars go into the non-league game with a 1-2 record. In their last game, Cascade was overwhelmed by North Linn (Troy Mills, IA), 5-2, in a non-league game.

Next, the Tigers play the Norwalk Warriors (Norwalk, IA) in a non-league game, on Tuesday, June 3. Grinnell will attempt to improve on its 5-6 season record. The Warriors go into the game with a 5-4 record after their 16-1 non-league win over Pella Christian (Pella, IA).
