In Monday's league test, the North Polk Comets (Alleman, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Gilbert Tigers (Gilbert, IA), by a count of 12-4.
Next, the Comets meet the Waukee Warriors (Waukee, IA) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, June 3. North Polk will attempt to upgrade on its 6-1 season record. The Warriors go into the test with a 3-3 record after their 4-1 league loss to Johnston (Johnston, IA).
The Tigers (3-3) will now prepare for their test against Carroll (Carroll, IA). The Tigers go into the Raccoon River test with a 0-6 record. In their last test, Carroll was routed by Ballard (Huxley, IA), 16-4, in a league test.
