Next, the Wildcats play the Charles City Comets (Charles City, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Tuesday, June 3. Humboldt will attempt to upgrade on its 1-2 season record. The Comets enter the challenge with a 2-4 record after their 9-8 non-league loss to Waterloo West (Waterloo, IA).

The Lynx (1-2) will now prepare for their challenge against Storm Lake (Storm Lake, IA). The Tornadoes enter the non-league challenge with a 3-0 record. In their last challenge, Storm Lake overcame Odebolt Arthur Battle Creek Ida Grove (Ida Grove, IA), 8-3, in a non-league challenge.
