In Monday's league test, the Prairie City-Monroe Mustangs (Monroe, IA) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA), by a count of 16-0.

Next, the Mustangs meet the South Hamilton Hawks (Jewell, IA) in a Heart of Iowa test, on Wednesday, June 4. Prairie City-Monroe will attempt to upgrade on its 5-0 season record. The Hawks go into the test with a 0-4 record after their 10-0 league loss to West Marshall (State Center, IA).

The Cubs (2-2) will now prepare for their test against Iowa Falls-Alden (Iowa Falls, IA). The Cadets go into the non-league test with a 1-2 record. In their last test, Iowa Falls-Alden was routed by St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA), 11-2, in a league test.
