The crowd at Monday's non-league bout between the Northwest Wolves (Waukee, IA) and the host Valley Tigers (West Des Moines, IA), observed Northwest's softball team get by Valley by a tally of 7-5.
The Wolves (2-0) will now prepare for their bout against North Polk (Alleman, IA). The Comets go into the non-league bout with a 6-1 record. In their last bout, North Polk tipped Gilbert (Gilbert, IA), 12-4, in a league bout.
In their next game, the Tigers battle the Fort Dodge Dodgers (Fort Dodge, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, June 3. Valley will attempt to advance on its 3-2 season record. The Dodgers go into the bout with a 3-1 record after their 10-0 league win over Mason City (Mason City, IA).
