The crowd at Monday's league bout between the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) and the visiting Piscataquis Pirates (Guilford, ME), observed Penobscot Valley's softball team prevail over Piscataquis by a tally of 8-0.

The Howlers (13-0) will now prepare for their bout against Piscataquis (Guilford, ME). The Pirates go into the Class D North bout with a 2-9 record. In their last bout, Piscataquis was routed by Penquis Valley (Milo, ME), 21-10, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Pirates clash with the Penobscot Valley Howlers (Howland, ME) in a Class D North bout, on Monday, June 2. Piscataquis will attempt to advance on its 2-11 season record. The Howlers go into the bout with a 11-0 record after their 11-0 league win over Bangor Christian (Bangor, ME).
