Sioux City East Black Raiders (Sioux City, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Le Mars Bulldogs (Le Mars, IA), 4-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Black Raiders now own a 10-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Kingsley-Pierson for a non-league challenge on Saturday, June 22. Sioux City East will battle a Panthers squad coming off a 7-1 non-league loss to Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 9-12.

With the loss, Le Mars falls to 13-10 on the campaign. The Bulldogs travel to Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, June 21. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 19-6. Newell-Fonda lost 6-5 in their recent league challenge against Sioux Central (Sioux Rapids, IA)
