The crowd at Friday's non-league battle between the Kuemper Knights (Carroll, IA) and the host Coon Rapids-Bayard Crusaders (Coon Rapids, IA), saw Kuemper's baseball team gain a win over Coon Rapids-Bayard by a tally of 13-8.
The Knights (11-8) will now prepare for their battle against Creston (Creston, IA). The Panthers enter the Hawkeye 10 battle with a 13-9 record. In their last battle, Creston was overwhelmed by Bedford (Bedford, IA), 6-5, in a non-league battle.
Next, the Crusaders face the Boyer Valley Bulldogs (Dunlap, IA) in a Rolling Valley battle, on Monday, June 23. Coon Rapids-Bayard will attempt to upgrade on its 16-3 season record. The Bulldogs enter the battle with a 6-6 record after their 15-5 league win over Exira-EHK (Elk Horn, IA).
