The crowd at Friday's league battle between the Emmetsburg E'Hawks (Emmetsburg, IA) and the visiting West Bend-Mallard Wolverines (West Bend, IA), saw Emmetsburg's baseball team gain a win over West Bend-Mallard by a tally of 8-1.

The E'Hawks (9-4) will now prepare for their battle against Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire (Ruthven, IA). The Titans go into the Twin Lakes challenge with a 4-9 record. In their last challenge, Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Ayrshire was overwhelmed by Newell-Fonda (Newell, IA), 15-5, in a league challenge.

With the defeat, West Bend-Mallard drops to 4-9 on the year. The Wolverines host Alta-Aurelia (Alta, IA) to clash with the Warriors in a Twin Lakes challenge on Monday, June 23. The Warriors go into the challenge with a record of 6-7. Alta-Aurelia won 22-7 in their recent league bout against Northwest Webster (Manson, IA)
