In Friday's non-league bout, the Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA) baseball squad edged the visiting Nevada Cubs (Nevada, IA), by a tally of 12-11.
Next up, the Rams encounter the Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA) in a non-league bout, on Monday, June 23. Greene County will attempt to upgrade on its 2-8 season record. The Norsemen enter the bout with a 12-6 record after their 15-4 non-league win over South Hamilton (Jewell, IA).
The Cubs (9-8) will now prepare for their bout against Prairie City-Monroe (Monroe, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league challenge with a 6-6 record. In their last challenge, Prairie City-Monroe nipped Eddyville-Blakesburg-Fremont (Eddyville, IA), 13-6, in a non-league challenge.
