Unity Christian Knights (Orange City, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Gehlen Catholic Jays (Le Mars, IA), 7-4 in a non-league challenge.

The Knights now own a 10-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Western Christian for a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 22. Unity Christian will battle a Wolfpack squad coming off a 7-5 non-league win over MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Wolfpack record now stands at 6-12.

With the loss, Gehlen Catholic falls to 5-8 on the campaign. The Jays host Akron-Westfield (Akron, IA) to battle the Westerners in a non-league challenge on Thursday, June 22. The Westerners enter the challenge with a record of 9-8. Akron-Westfield lost 6-1 in their recent non-league challenge against St. Mary's (Remsen, IA)
