The Akron-Westfield Westerners triumphed over the visiting Western Christian Wolfpack softball squad by a count of 14-4 in Saturday's non-league challenge.

Next, the Westerners play the Hinton Blackhawks (Hinton, IA) in a War Eagle challenge, on Monday, June 23. Akron-Westfield will attempt to upgrade on its 13-1 season record. The Blackhawks enter the challenge with a 13-3 record after their 27-5 league win over Harris-Lake Park (Lake Park, IA).

The Wolfpack (1-13) will now prepare for their challenge against MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA). The Dutchmen enter the non-league challenge with a 14-3 record.
