The North Polk Comets softball team scored 10 runs and held the visiting Winterset Huskies to 0 in the Comets league win on Saturday.

The Comets now sport a 17-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Ballard for a Raccoon River battle on Monday, June 23. North Polk will confront a Bombers team coming off a 8-0 non-league loss to Johnston (Johnston, IA). The Bombers record now stands at 6-14.

With the loss, Winterset moves to 17-9 on the season. The Huskies travel to Bondurant-Farrar (Bondurant, IA) to confront the Bluejays in a Raccoon River battle on Monday, June 23. The Bluejays come into the battle with a record of 13-7. Bondurant-Farrar lost 2-0 in their recent non-league battle against Northwest (Waukee, IA)
