Iowa High School Baseball - Northeast holds off Maquoketa

In Monday's non-league game, the host Northeast Rebels baseball team scored a close 9-5 victory over the Maquoketa Cardinals.
The Rebels (10-1) will now prepare for their challenge against Maquoketa Valley (Delhi, IA). The Wildcats go into the non-league challenge with a 8-9 record. In their last challenge, Maquoketa Valley was overwhelmed by Marquette (Bellevue, IA), 5-0, in a non-league challenge.
With the defeat, Maquoketa drops to 4-19 on the year. The Cardinals travel to Northeast (Goose Lake, IA) to clash with the Rebels in a non-league challenge on Monday, June 23. The Rebels go into the challenge with a record of 8-1.
