Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Roland-Story Norsemen (Story City, IA), 8-3 in a league game.

With the triumph, Greene County improves its record to 11-9 on the year. The Rams host Northwest Webster (Manson, IA) to play the Cougars in a non-league game on Tuesday, June 24. The Cougars enter the game with a record of 4-8. Northwest Webster lost 2-0 in their recent non-league game against West Hancock (Britt, IA)

The Norsemen now hold a 9-9 record. They play next when they travel to West Marshall for a Heart of Iowa bout on Wednesday, June 25. Roland-Story will clash with a Trojans team coming off a 2-1 non-league loss to Martensdale-St. Mary's (Martensdale, IA). The Trojans record now stands at 14-8.
