The crowd at Monday's league battle between the Ballard Bombers (Huxley, IA) and the host Winterset Huskies (Winterset, IA), saw Ballard's baseball team gain a win over Winterset by a tally of 7-3.

The Bombers (14-10) will now prepare for their battle against Gilbert (Gilbert, IA). The Tigers enter the Raccoon River battle with a 6-16 record. In their last battle, Gilbert was overwhelmed by Roosevelt (Des Moines, IA), 14-4, in a non-league battle.

Next, the Huskies face the Nodaway Valley Wolverines (Greenfield, IA) in a non-league battle, on Tuesday, June 25. Winterset will attempt to upgrade on its 8-13 season record. The Wolverines enter the battle with a 1-14 record after their 3-2 non-league loss to Mount Ayr (Mount Ayr, IA).
