The Pocahontas Indians (Pocahontas, IA) baseball got by the host Southeast Valley Jaguars (Gowrie, IA), 9-8 in Monday's league challenge.

The Indians now own a 12-8 record. They take the field next when they host Algona for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 25. Pocahontas will clash with a Bulldogs team coming off a 14-1 non-league win over St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA). The Bulldogs record now stands at 21-4.

With the defeat, Southeast Valley drops to 6-11 on the year. The Jaguars travel to Greene County (Jefferson, IA) to clash with the Rams in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, June 25. The Rams go into the challenge with a record of 1-14. Greene County lost 8-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Saydel (Des Moines, IA)
