Saydel Eagles (Des Moines, IA) supporters left the game thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Greene County Rams (Jefferson, IA), 8-2 in a non-league game.

With the triumph, Saydel improves its record to 12-9 on the year. The Eagles host West Marshall (State Center, IA) to play the Trojans in a Heart of Iowa game on Wednesday, June 26. The Trojans enter the game with a record of 19-6.

The Rams now hold a 4-17 record. They play next when they host Southeast Valley for a non-league game on Tuesday, June 25. Greene County will play a Jaguars squad coming off a 6-0 non-league loss to Pocahontas (Pocahontas, IA). The Jaguars record now stands at 14-6.
