In Monday's non-league match, the host North Union Warriors softball team scored a tight 8-6 win over the Lake Mills Bulldogs.

The Warriors (14-10) will now prepare for their match against Eagle Grove (Eagle Grove, IA). The Eagles come into the Top of Iowa-West match with a 9-2 record. In their last match, Eagle Grove nipped Garner-Hayfield/Ventura (Garner, IA), 9-1, in a league match.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the North Iowa Bison (Buffalo Center, IA) in a non-league match, on Tuesday, June 25. Lake Mills will attempt to better on its 5-12 season record. The Bison come into the match with a 8-8 record after their 9-5 non-league loss to Bishop Garrigan (Algona, IA).
