Iowa High School Softball - Mt. Vernon bounces South Tama County

In Monday's non-league match, the host Mt. Vernon Mustangs softball team scored a nice 10-0 victory over the South Tama County Trojans.
The Mustangs (28-9) will now prepare for their match against West Delaware (Manchester, IA). The Hawks go into the WaMaC-East match with a 14-15 record. In their last match, West Delaware was routed by Solon (Solon, IA), 6-5, in a non-league match.
In their next game, the Trojans battle the Independence Mustangs (Independence, IA) in a non-league match, on Wednesday, June 26. South Tama County will attempt to better on its 0-23 season record. The Mustangs go into the match with a 15-19 record after their 15-5 league loss to Marion (Marion, IA).
