With the triumph, Fairfield improves its record to 14-8 on the year. The Trojans travel to Washington (Washington, IA) to play the Demons in a Southeast game on Thursday, June 26. The Demons enter the game with a record of 16-6.

The Comets now hold a 7-13 record. They play next when they travel to Mt. Pleasant for a non-league game on Wednesday, June 25. Cardinal will play a Panthers squad coming off a 19-5 league loss to Washington (Washington, IA). The Panthers record now stands at 5-18.
