In Tuesday's non-league match, the host Wahlert Golden Eagles softball team scored a tight 2-1 win over the Xavier Saints.
The Golden Eagles (9-1) will now prepare for their match against Cedar Falls (Cedar Falls, IA). The Tigers come into the Mississippi Valley - Mississippi match with a 11-14 record.
In their next game, the Saints confront the Prairie Hawks (Cedar Rapids, IA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, June 27. Xavier will attempt to better on its 21-10 season record.
