The Mt. Vernon Mustangs crushed the host South Tama County Trojans baseball team by a count of 15-0 in Monday's non-league bout.
The Mustangs now possess a 10-18 record. They take the field next when they host West Delaware for a non-league bout on Thursday, June 29. Mt. Vernon will face a Hawks team coming off a 10-6 non-league loss to Monticello (Monticello, IA). The Hawks record now stands at 22-9.
Next, the Trojans face the East Marshall Mustangs (Le Grand, IA) in a non-league bout, on Wednesday, June 28. South Tama County will attempt to move on its 4-21 season record. The Mustangs enter the bout with a 10-16 record after their 8-2 non-league loss to Belle Plaine (Belle Plaine, IA).
