Alburnett Pirates (Alburnett, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Monday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting North Cedar Knights (Stanwood, IA), 12-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 22-10 record. They take the field next when they travel to Midland for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 28. Alburnett will battle a Eagles squad coming off a 11-5 non-league loss to Edgewood-Colesburg (Edgewood, IA). The Eagles record now stands at 1-30.

With the loss, North Cedar falls to 4-18 on the campaign. The Knights host Springville (Springville, IA) to battle the Orioles in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 28. The Orioles enter the challenge with a record of 11-20. Springville won 13-3 in their recent non-league challenge against Marquette (Bellevue, IA)
