The West Delaware Hawks softball team scored 8 runs and limited the visiting Solon Spartans to 7 in the Hawks non-league triumph on Monday.

With the triumph, West Delaware improves its record to 15-17 on the year. The Hawks host Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to clash with the Mustangs in a non-league game on Wednesday, June 28. The Mustangs come into the game with a record of 23-9. Mt. Vernon won 12-0 in their recent non-league game against South Tama County (Tama, IA)

In their next game, the Spartans clash with the Clear Creek-Amana Clippers (Tiffin, IA) in a non-league game, on Wednesday, June 28. Solon will attempt to improve on its 20-13 season record. The Clippers come into the game with a 17-13 record after their 10-0 non-league loss to Williamsburg (Williamsburg, IA).
