The Chariton Chargers baseball team scored 6 runs and held the host Pleasantville Trojans to 5 in the Chargers non-league win on Wednesday.

The Chargers now own a 20-4 record. They take the field next when they host Albia for a South Central test on Thursday, June 27. Chariton will play a Blue Demons team coming off a 9-6 league loss to Knoxville (Knoxville, IA). The Blue Demons record now stands at 11-14.

With the defeat, Pleasantville drops to 17-10 on the year. The Trojans host Interstate 35 (Truro, IA) to play the Roadrunners in a West Central test on Thursday, June 27. The Roadrunners go into the test with a record of 18-4. Interstate 35 won 4-0 in their recent league test against Panorama (Panora, IA)
