In Wednesday's non-league match, the host Centerville Big Reds/Redettes softball team scored a tight 11-5 win over the Fairfield Trojans.

The Big Reds/Redettes (13-9) will now prepare for their match against Cardinal (Eldon, IA). The Comets come into the South Central match with a 22-7 record. In their last match, Cardinal nipped Wayne (Corydon, IA), 2-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Trojans battle the Keokuk Chiefs (Keokuk, IA) in a non-league match, on Thursday, June 27. Fairfield will attempt to better on its 9-17 season record. The Chiefs come into the match with a 10-13 record after their 8-4 non-league win over Central Lee (Donnellson, IA).
