The Sigourney Savages baseball team scored 5 runs and held the visiting B-G-M Bears to 0 in the Savages league win on Thursday.
The Savages now hold a 18-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to Wilton for a non-league test on Friday, June 27. Sigourney will play a Beavers team coming off a 11-1 non-league win over Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA). The Beavers record now stands at 12-9.
With the defeat, B-G-M drops to 11-8 on the year. The Bears travel to Keota (Keota, IA) to play the Eagles in a South Iowa Cedar test on Friday, June 27. The Eagles go into the test with a record of 6-8. Keota lost 11-1 in their recent league test against Lynnville-Sully (Sully, IA)
