Wapello Indians (Wapello, IA) supporters left the game pleased Thursday as they saw their softball squad nudge the visiting Pekin Panthers (Packwood, IA), 7-5 in a league game.

With the triumph, Wapello improves its record to 12-9 on the campaign. The Indians host Mediapolis (Mediapolis, IA) to clash with the Bulldogs in a non-league bout on Friday, June 27. The Bulldogs go into the bout with a record of 14-7. Mediapolis won 15-8 in their recent non-league bout against West Burlington (West Burlington, IA)

In their next game, the Panthers clash with the WACO Warriors (Wayland, IA) in a non-league bout, on Friday, June 27. Pekin will attempt to advance on its 7-16 season record. The Warriors go into the bout with a 0-12 record after their 11-0 non-league loss to Louisa-Muscatine (Letts, IA).
