The West Lyon Wildcats (Inwood, IA) softball the host Akron-Westfield Westerners (Akron, IA), 3-1 in Tuesday's non-league bout.
The Wildcats (21-2) will now prepare for their bout against George-Little Rock (George, IA). The Mustangs go into the non-league bout with a 0-17 record. In their last bout, George-Little Rock by MOC-Floyd Valley (Orange City, IA), 16-1, in a non-league bout.
The Westerners now possess a 13-9 record. They play next when they host Unity Christian for a non-league bout on Wednesday, June 28. Akron-Westfield will confront a Knights squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Gehlen Catholic (Le Mars, IA). The Knights record now stands at 12-8.
