Lisbon Lions (Lisbon, IA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Tuesday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Marquette Mohawks (Bellevue, IA), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Lions now own a 29-7 record. They take the field next when they host Maquoketa Valley for a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 28. Lisbon will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 7-1 non-league win over Starmont (Arlington, IA). The Wildcats record now stands at 14-13.

With the loss, Marquette falls to 8-13 on the campaign. The Mohawks host North Linn (Troy Mills, IA) to face the Lynx in a non-league challenge on Wednesday, June 28. The Lynx enter the challenge with a record of 30-5. North Linn won 2-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Decorah-North Winneshiek (Decorah, IA)
