In Thursday's non-league match, the visiting Earlham Cardinals softball team scored a tight 14-11 victory over the West Central Valley Wildcats.

The Cardinals (20-12) will now prepare for their match against Griswold (Griswold, IA). The Tigers go into the non-league match with a 22-2 record. In their last match, Griswold tipped West Monona (Onawa, IA), 6-5, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Wildcats battle the Des Moines Christian Lions (Des Moines, IA) in a West Central match, on Friday, June 28. West Central Valley will attempt to better on its 12-10 season record. The Lions go into the match with a 7-11 record after their 10-6 league win over Woodward-Granger (Woodward, IA).
