The West Liberty Comets the host West Branch Bears softball squad by a count of 6-2 in Thursday's league challenge.

Next, the Comets play the Valley Tigers (Elgin, IA) in a non-league challenge, on Friday, June 28. West Liberty will attempt to upgrade on its 17-8 season record. The Tigers enter the challenge with a 13-2 record after their 4-3 league win over Southeast Polk (Pleasant Hill, IA).

The Bears (7-19) will now prepare for their challenge against Mid-Prairie (Wellman, IA). The Golden Hawks enter the non-league challenge with a 7-18 record. In their last challenge, Mid-Prairie was routed by Davenport Central (Davenport, IA), 6-2, in a non-league challenge.
