In Friday's league match, the host Algona Bulldogs softball team scored a nice 9-1 win over the Webster City Lynx.

The Bulldogs (13-4) will now prepare for their match against St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA). The Gaels come into the North Central match with a 19-10 record. In their last match, St. Edmond was routed by Estherville Lincoln Central (Estherville, IA), 2-1, in a non-league match.

In their next game, the Lynx confront the Glenwood Rams (Glenwood, IA) in a non-league match, on Saturday, June 28. Webster City will attempt to better on its 4-14 season record. The Rams come into the match with a 11-15 record after their 3-2 league win over Shenandoah (Shenandoah, IA).
