The Boone Toreadors baseball team scored 14 runs and held the host Algona Bulldogs to 4 in the Toreadors non-league win on Saturday.
The Toreadors now own a 12-7 record. They take the field next when they host Bishop Heelan Catholic for a non-league test on Saturday, June 28. Boone will clash with a Crusaders team coming off a 2-0 league win over Sergeant Bluff-Luton (Sergeant Bluff, IA). The Crusaders record now stands at 20-6.
With the defeat, Algona drops to 18-6 on the year. The Bulldogs host St. Edmond (Fort Dodge, IA) to clash with the Gaels in a North Central test on Monday, June 30. The Gaels go into the test with a record of 2-14.
