Estherville Lincoln Central Midgets (Estherville, IA) fans left the game pleased Saturday as they observed their baseball squad achieve victory over the visiting Madrid Tigers (Madrid, IA), 8-5 in a non-league match.
With the triumph, Estherville Lincoln Central advances its record to 15-7 on the season. The Midgets travel to Newman Catholic (Mason City, IA) to battle the Knights in a non-league match on Monday, June 30. The Knights come into the match with a record of 15-5.
The Tigers now have a 6-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Adair-Casey/Guthrie Center for a West Central match on Monday, June 30. Madrid will battle a squad coming off a 7-4 league loss to West Central Valley (Stuart, IA). The record now stands at 8-11.
