The crowd at Monday's non-league match between the Wilton Beavers (Wilton, IA) and the host Mid-Prairie Golden Hawks (Wellman, IA), saw Wilton's softball squad nip Mid-Prairie by a count of 7-3.

The Beavers now sport a 8-4 record. They take the field next when they host West Liberty for a River Valley - South match on Thursday, June 6.

With the loss, Mid-Prairie falls to 3-4 on the campaign. The Golden hawks travel to Mt. Vernon (Mt. Vernon, IA) to face the Mustangs in a non-league match on Tuesday, June 4. The Mustangs enter the match with a record of 13-2. Mt. Vernon won 2-0 in their recent non-league match against Center Point-Urbana (Center Point, IA)
